Note that the board is hot-swappable, meaning you can easily choose which switches you want, and your experience will vary depending on which switch you go for. The Keychron is a decent entry-level office keyboard that comes with Gateron Red, Blue, and Brown switches as well as a hot-swappable version. Since the Glorious Pandas have an opaque housing, the RGB lighting effects may be a tad dimmer than what you would get with a transparent body switch. Of course, the Glorious PC Gaming Race brings GMMK TKL all the comfort of a professional keyboard, such as full anti-ghosting with N-key rollover via USB, in which no key entries are lost, no matter how many are pressed simultaneously. My previous tactile switch experience has only been with Cherry and Gateron Browns, so when I started typing on the Glorious Pandas, I immediately felt a difference.

You can dampen some of this sound by adding a layer of foam to the bottom case underneath the PCB and this is a relatively easy task to do. But that doesn't mean that it's not compatible with 5-pin switches — you just need to make sure you clip those extra two stems to make them fit.The chamfered edge was a nice touch and one that we appreciated even though Glorious didn’t have to include it. Or if you have an existing hot-swap board, and prefer something nice and tactile, then Glorious Pandas are a great choice.

And while it is advertised as only compatible with 3-pin switches, you can clip the extra stems off of 5-pin switches to work with the GMMK. There is still some issue though such as the keyswitches at some place do pop out while removing the keycaps especially if the caps are a tight fit and the SMD LEDs though they are quite bright they tend to get too diffused with the switches and caps in place. Although we tested a variant of the Ducky that doesn't have backlighting, you can get one that does. The switches are held securely by the plate and hot swap sockets and there is a solid feel when you press each key down.We reviewed the full-size model, but expect most of the review to be valid for all variants, other than dimensions. But if you want to remap and program macros and change the RGB lighting and stuff, you'll need a PC since the software is not available for macOS. It has a variety of effects that you can control directly from the keyboard, tailoring it to your personal tastes. Attention: In this version, neither switches nor Keycaps are included and must be purchased separately! The software for the GMMK is only available for Windows, so if you want to reprogram any keys on the GMMK, make sure to have a PC around.

The molding is great but it is still those oem profile keycaps with the usual stencil font we usualy see.Unfortunately, if you need a wrist rest, there isn't one included in the box, although GLORIOUS does sell some. The bottom of the GMMK also has a little section to hold a switch puller (also included), which is convenient if you plan to change your switches out. Glorious PC Gaming Race brings with the GMMK TKL a modular mechanical keyboard on which switches and of course Keycaps can be exchanged at will. It has a slight incline naturally, but you can pop the little kickstand feet out if you need more typing angle.
