Cooper's style of comedy is non-sequitur, meaning that he's silly often for the sake of being silly. He taught Dr. Moonbloom in the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode " Doc Doc, Who's There?" how to find her silly side. In the Trolls: TrollsTopia episode " Dante the Entertainer", Cooper was noted by the kids of TrollsTopia to be the best kid's entertainer, but he denies that, reserving said status for whomever pulled the Balloon Sword in the Stone. On a quest to find where he comes from, Cooper knows that—even though it’s scary—he must go out there and see if there are other Trolls like him.

When Poppy reached out to her to become friends through a glitter card, Barb misunderstood her friendship request and lost her temper, believing that she was making fun of her since she regarded Poppy as selfish as the ancient Pop Trolls; she immediately burned the card afterwards. In Trolls, when Cooper wasn't harmonizing his lyrics with other Trolls, he added a rap beat to them. For example, in Can't Stop the Feeling!, during the line "Nowhere to hide when I'm gettin' you close", he sings "Can't stop, won't stop". In the lines "When we move, well, you already know", he says "Let’s go, let’s work". She also sings. Though she's capable of going higher into upper notes, in Trolls World Tour, her voice has a dark tone with a gruff quality to it, and thus she has a tendency to favor lower ranges. This makes her vocal a contrast to Poppy with her higher vocal pitch and brighter tone.How they are built and how they work is open to scrutiny – they are transparent in what they do. Cooper is the first Troll to have both parents featured alive, named and on-screen, as prior to him all Trolls only had 1 parent shown or featured none at all with Smidge being the only Troll to mention having "parents" but fulfilling none of these criteria.
Queen Poppy's involvement and experience in the events made her listen to the advice of others more regularly, thus getting a better performance as the queen of the Pop Tribe. Riff: Hey, Barb? Hi.
